Torchlight Run

WOOHOO!

A big congrats to my speed racer sister who completed her first 5K in ONLY 26:12 - WHEW! How fun to get the chance to cheer her on after all her years of love and encouragement!!

It was a lovely night for a run and also for Minnesota's largest parade.

Beautiful Bismarck

Hi all,

What a fantastic weekend!! I had so much fun! My friend and I explored all the highlights of Bismarck and the surrounding area, including multiple margarita's at Fiesta Villa, treasures at Zoe's, Baldwin and the compound, the Bistro (a restaurant with a great view and bad service, Peacock Alley (a great bar with fabulous staff and where we met the crew from Vermont - shout out to the Bag Balm Crew!!), a run by the river - lunch at Merriwethers, a migraine mitigating massage, a haircut? by Lorraine, and last but not least, time with all the horses - including Sparky, check out those eyes, baby! Admittedly, I ended up skipping my 10 mile run thus I am off to bed so I can try to get 'er done tomorrow morning.

Thanks so much to my lovely hostess, it was such a wonderful break from reality.

WAHOO!!! NODAK here I come

Hooray! I just finished my exam, have a half hour to pack and shower and then am off to see one of best friends on the planet after not seeing her for almost a year! WAHOO!! gotta run before going on only 3 hours of sleep catches up with me.

Enjoying my day driving

I have had many moments in my life sitting in my car thinking how lucky I am to be able sit in this climate controlled structure, surrounded by music of my choosing, able to navigate to wherever as quickly or as slowly as I wish.

Today, in addition to that general gratitude, I was really enjoying the fun of driving, somehow I was able to just sit back and have fun, like being on a carnival ride, in my own little machine that can dart in and out between cars and streets. OK, so granted, I have not lost that childlike wonder AND I really am a driver - one ticket this year (two days after buying my new car) and counting....

Hello out there

Here I am, in my lovely house with my fabulous husband beside me, typing out my mantra to the world.

LIFE IS A GIFT, ENJOY YOUR DAYS!!!

My current plan in that regard is to hang out with my family, play with my dogs, Sienna and Hinkley, and train for a marathon while dealing with the distractions of working as a nurse and taking graduate courses at the UofM.
